President Rodrigo Duterte’s first meeting with United States President Donald Trump was short, but it was nonetheless sweet.
Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go gave a glimpse of that meeting by sharing a “photobomb” picture of the two heads of state talking at the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders’ meeting in Da Nang, Vietnam on Saturday morning (November 11).
Go told Malacañang reporters that the informal meeting between Duterte and Trump was just short.
“Sabi niya (Trump), ‘See you tomorrow,’” Go said.
Duterte and Trump are set to meet in the Philippines again for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.
Trump will be in the country from November 12 to 14.
The US President originally planned to stay in the Philippines from November 12 to 13, but extended another day so he can attend the ASEAN-East Asia Summit.
