Sara: ‘Bikoy’ a scam
Re-elected Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and her brother, congressman-elect Paolo Duterte called the “Bikoy” video a scam and fabrication as its arrested narrator tagged the Liberal Party and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV as behind it.
“Bikoy is a scam created by people who oppose the Duterte administration,” Mayor Duterte said in a statement.
“This group is so disorganized they cannot even get to first base because the path to their objective is in disarray. Kung ako leader ng grupo na ito, I will shoot myself in the head, get rid of the brain that is not useful,” she added.
Davao City Rep. Pulong Duterte said, “From the very start, it was clear that the Bikoy videos were fabricated with a narrative taken straight from the playbook of people whose desire is to destroy our name and our reputation.”
The eldest of President Rodrigo Duterte’s children also said, “All the lies presented were also meant to crush the trust of the Filipino people in the authorities and inspire public disgust against the government — truly the handiwork of people who want to undermine the Duterte administration.”
The lawmaker further said he had no doubt that Trillanes was behind the video titled “Ang Totoong Narcolist.”
And now that many names have also surfaced, to include Sen. Risa Hontiveros and several lawyers, I believe a proper investigation is in order.
Presidential Communications and Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar reacted to the latest revelation of Advincula saying this: “The turn of events have made this drama more interesting. Now it’s Bikoy’s words vs. Sen. Trillanes and the Liberal Party’s. I’m going to the grocery to buy popcorn.”
Meanwhile, Senate Minority Leader Franklin M. Drilon denied Advincula’s allegations against the Liberal Party
“The Liberal Party had nothing to do with the so-called Bikoy video. We deny the accusations. That the Liberal Party connived with an obviously professional con artist to topple the government is most absurd. It is ridiculous on so many levels. It’s excruciating to have listened to all his lies,” said Drilon.
“Having said that, I urge the Philippine National Police to get to the bottom of this Bikoy issue and file the appropriate charges,” the senator added.
